The Island of Barra is in the Western Isles or Outer Hebrides of Scotland. Transportation links from the mainland are provided by Caledonian MacBraynes ferries and a daily plane from Glasgow Monday to Saturday by British Regional Airways.

Fly (or drive) from Glasgow, there are then two choices:
· Fly British Airways to Barra

· Drive or take the train to Oban and take the car ferry to Barra (year round).

From Castlebay Ferry Terminal - Take the A888 East to Earsary. Keep on this road for about 3 miles until you reach Earsary. Both Cottages are located on the right hand side.

From Barra Airport - Take the A888 East towards Castlebay. Earsary is about 6 miles from Barra Airport. Both Cottages are located on the left side.
